Misc. Polishes from the Past Month or.... So....

Hey! Random Polish Haul! yes!

Okay... I want to preface this by saying I didn't plan for this well. At all. A good, meticulous blogger would have written down the day she got these, where, and how much they were. But no, I didn't do that. Silly stupidness.

This is just a general overview of what I got... if you want more in-depth swatches leave a comment below!
Pretty crazy right? some of this is self- purchases... others gifts.... all of it is lots of fun for me :D

1st group! The first 2 are stuff I got when shopping with my friend- her mom is a hairdresser, so she gets discounts at fanshy- shmanshy salon pro only places. (yay for having polish dealers!) and the last iis a present from said friend for Christmas
OPI "And this Little Piggy...", CND "Teal Sparkle", OPI "An Affair in Red Square"

Next are Christmas presents from various school friends :)
Butter London "Tart with a Heart" + "The Black Knight", Nails Inc Magnetic Polish "Whitehall", random mini polishes in blue glitter, green glitter, and a frosty blue, Hot Topic "neon green"
When I say "neon green" for that last Hot Topic one, I'm describing it- stupid Hot Topic polishes have no names >:( oh! this was a funny experience I had at Hot Topic- imagine walking in on a typical day, and having this conversation with the sales clerk:
HT: Hi how are you today?
Me: Good! How are you?
HT: I'm dying slowly on the inside... Everything's buy one get one half off.... not that it matters...

was that man a ray of sunshine or what?
Annnnnyyyywaaaaayyyssss... I digress.  These were part of a mall haul :)  <- gotta love rhymes :D
Icing "Frost Yourself", Icing "Birthday Beyotch", OPI "Save Me"
Okay let's discuss names here, Icing. Names are important to the sale of your polishes. I have so many multi colored glitters already, but I bought "Birthday Beyotch" shearly because that name made my day. However; "Frost yourself"? WTH???? You are sooo lucky I've been wanting this one, because the name is just upsetting. Who came up with "frost yourself"? Puh-leeeeze.
Ok... I digress again. Next? STOCKING STUFFERS! The best stocking stuffer for any beauty or nail obsessed person is nail polish. End of story.
Chameleon "Calypso", Essie "Beach Bum Blu" + "It's Genius" + "Sexy Divide", Borghese "Stellare Notte"
I'll be honest- I already had this Borghese. But I won't complain- this is fantastic in water marbles, so I'll definitely use it. Onto the random purchases!
Glitter Gal "Silver 3D Holographic", American Apparel "Smoke Dazzle", Nubar "Gem", Seche Vite
This picture got a little foggy near the Glitter Gal- But that WILL have a separate post. SOOO STUNNING! I'll be sure to take sunlight pics if I can get some! a.d see the little white lifesaver in the pic? The seller on Amazon included it in my package XD Gotta love candy from strangers! These last ones are a few stragglers-
Random box set- no names :(
These are... well... extremely sheer. Like, sheerer than sheer. But, they do have one use! Glitter samiches!
Revlon "Smoldering"
If you thought this looked like Wet n' Wild "Gray's Anatomy", or the American Apparel one from this post, you'd be right. I'll be doing a comparison post on those 3 soon :)

So there you have it! Random polishes!
Next is an OPI collection post- figured I'd do that for some reason :P then I'll do some of the posts I promised xp

Luv y'all!

Back! and What Do You Want To See?

Hey guys! I was gone for.... a period of time. Maybe longer than I wanted, but ah well ;)
Any ways, I have a haul coming! I wanted to put together all of the polishes I've gotten recently, so that will be coming up. And the second half of my wet n' wild palette review... I'm sorry! I just haven't had the time or the want to finish it! But it will come soon!

One last note- I chopped my nails recently :/ It had to be done!! My first volleyball practice is coming up, so I had to keep em in line. They woulda broken scarily if I didn't... and that's happened to me before!
That's all for now.... stay tuned for Holiday Hauls and palette reviews!

Wet n' Wild Palettes! Pt. 1

Hey guys! Happy Thursday!
I went to Walgreen's yesterday and got two palettes from wet n' wild- their "comfort zone" 8 shade palette, and their "baked not fried" 6 shade baked palette. After seeing Vintage or Tacky rave over these, I was on a mission to get the baked palette (I really wanted to get the blue, but I decided to stick with colors I would wear regularly). And I saw the 8 shade one and decided to take that too :) But OMG guys am I glad  I did! That's probably my favorite out of the two. So onto pictures and swatches!

First up- the baked palette in Baked, Not Fried.
All of the baked palettes have 2 marbelized colors in the center with regular baked shadows on the others.
Here's a general overview of the swatches- they're order corresponds with the palette pic
and next a closer look at each row-
The first row has what I would call highlighters- a shimmery white-ish silver and a gold. The gold is a tiny bit flakey, but not horribly difficult to apply
These are the marbelized ones- they're probably the most pigmented ones in the set. The first one is kind of duo-chromey pink to champagne, while the second is a more gold version of that.
The last row- first a sort of dusty- rusty gold when swatched. Here's my problem with this- if you look at the whole palette pic, it looks like a reddened copper rusty color- but here it just looks gold. Intersting...and a very... interesting one. it's a darker bronzey brown- very interesting and unique on the skin.
So that's the first palette! Next post will be on the second palette.
Pigmentation on these was... not thrilling. Bad? No. But not necessarily great either. But if you work with them wet, they work really well. The brush is really able to grab onto the pigment :) When I used them dry for a look, it was more for a wash of color rather than a full- on eyeshadow. That's it for now- second palette next!
I found my set at Walgreens, $4.99

Guess What I Just Ordered!

I just placed an order with Amazon.... can you guess what I got? C'mon! Guess!

No? No guesses? I'll give you a hint- Nail polish of course!

Anyways, I conveniently got a gift card to Amazon in the mail from my aunt for Christmas, so I had to spend it right away! I got 2 polishes, which will be swatched- once I get them of course! I don't want to tell you what they are yet- the element of surprise is too tempting! Normally I can't keep a secret, but this will have to wait. they should come near the end of the month- like a late Christmas present!

Now, I must rant- I cannot keep the annoyance inside.... I will die a deadly death. Of deadness. Anyways, this is solely about Amazon- why Amazon, must you make my life more difficult?

Okay, here's the thing- I hate that they have reandom sellers on Amazon. What happens is I add everything to my cart, say "yay! I kept the total right under the amount of the gift card!" (which is no small feat- it is a beautifully orchestrated effort to get those products exact!) go to check out, and get socked with like 7 different shipping costs! wth????? Can't Amazon have a flat rate for shipping???? then I hafta go back, and delete items that I was really excited about getting, and watch my cart of 10 things dwindle down to 2. 2 lonely polishes. Makes me sad.

Anyways... expect more swatches tomorrow. I'll probably group the other two Christmas presents together in one post... they are polar opposites, (pun intended... oh you haven't seen the post yet... crap.... awkward joke.... :( come back tomorrow) but they will be grouped for my sanity :)

Luv ya'll!

Butter London Dressing Table Set + A Christmas Update

Hey everybody! Time for the first swatches! So this is the last week before Christmas vacation for me, so my friends and I exchange gifts during the week. Monday I got 2 pretty exciting presents (hint: both are polishes!) and they'll end up to be the first pictures this blog sees! Please excuse the lighting and background situation... I still have to get used to my dad's camera. But, as you may have guessed from the title, the first present I got was the Butter London Dressing Table box set... which I was considerably happy with! Anyways, the two polishes it came with were The Black Knight and Tart with a Heart. I'd drooled over both of these for a while... and well, I freaked out when I saw them under the wrapping paper. Now, you can tell I'm a horrible swatcher.... not only did I not figure out the lighting, I also conveniently forgot to swatch these individually... gaah! they are pretty true to the bottles though, so I'd go with that. All the pictures with my nails are 2 coats of The Black Knight with 1 coat of Tart with a Heart over it. Onto the pics!
Boxed set- The Black Knight and Tart with a Heart
Is that not the cutest packaging ever???? Onto swatch pictures!

The Black Knight, 2 coats with Tart with a Heart, 1 coat

After taking these pics I put on a second layer of Seche-Vite-- it had to be done to get that smoothness.... no pictures of that though :( I am soooo proud of this next shot- the ring finger shows the glitter soo well, but the others are like macro shots of the glitter changiness! Score one for the blog-newbie!

Ugh! Gorgeousness! Can't get enough of it! This will be worn for a lonnng time i can tell! I want to show you  a bottle pic of Tart with a Heart- see if you can find the Waldo in this polish!

Do you see it?!?! Look really hard! Can you see Waldo? Yes? No? Maybe so? Click to enlarge; I dare you!
In case you're too lazy... there's BLACK MICRO-GLITTER in there! Like woooaaahh! Where did that come from? It's cool though- like a secret between you and Butter London! (and me of course!) but totally unexpected right?

That's the first present! I plan on swatching anything I get in the way of nail polish or makeup for Christmas, so stay tuned! I already have an OPI and a Nails Inc, so check back again soon!

This set retails for $25 at Ulta

Luv ya'll!

Hooray for 1st Posts!

Hi guys! So I'm considerably excited... the blog journey starts here! Sooo many times I have drooled over Scrangie's blog, Colette's blog, and ooooo so many more- you name them, I've probably seen them. In any case, I'm going to try my hardest not to be too... well... copy-cat-ish. But it's hard guys! All I've done is see these ladies review polishes I can only hope to drool over, and read how they do descriptions! It's practically setting myself up with a blog template! Ah well... just be patient with me kay?

I do plan on responding to comments- it's a pretty important thing to me... as a Youtube-a-holic, I know how infuriating it is when you ask a valid question and no one  cares! C'mon people! It was a good question!

Ok, enough ranting. I hope you guys enjoy the blog, and swatch pics to come!

Leave any requests down below!
Luv ya'll!
